A Marriage of Senegalese and Japanese Cuisine with Delicioius Results                

One wouldn’t ordinarily expect to find cultural similarities between Senegal and Japan, but celebrity chef, Pierre Thiam and his wife, Lisa Katayama, found a delicious common ground in the kitchen. Realizing that both cultures shared similar concepts of hospitality and sharing – teranga and omotenashi respectively – they began to discover other commonalities that prompted some delectable fusions.
