Africa Twenty Four (A24) Media has announced a three-month digital course scholarship for African storytellers. According to the promoters, the course will include a customisable syllabus based on current and future storytelling demands, aligning with prevailing industry, educational, and learning principles. Africa 24 Media says it is collaborating with top media experts worldwide and the United States African Development Foundation (USADF). Moonlake Entertainment, situated in the United Kingdom, will be facilitating the lectures with a team of skilled media professionals. “We have entered a whole new era of media production in the twenty-first century. The smartphone and the internet were game-changers on a grand scale. As a result, today’s students must be trained in a completely different way; and the only thing that remains the same is the importance of storytelling,” says Moonlake Entertainment’s Founder, Hannes M Schalle. The training programme will begin on April 1, 2022, and is open to English-speaking media enthusiasts throughout Africa.
