Innovative AI-driven agriculture technology in Africa supports sustainable farming.
Dubai-based Maser Group is placing a bold $1.6 billion bet on Africa’s future by investing in AI-powered data centers and large-scale farmland projects across the continent. The company has already committed about $300 million to land and asset-backed ventures, aiming to tackle rising food insecurity while meeting soaring demand for digital infrastructure. Backed by its investment arm MDR Investments and China-linked Chia Ventures, Maser is pursuing partnerships with governments in countries including Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Zambia. The strategy comes as Africa’s food import bill tops $83 billion and data center capacity is expected to multiply sharply by 2030. By blending agriculture with technology, Maser is positioning itself at the heart of Africa’s next growth wave.
