Nihtael: Building A Career Across Digital Music Distribution, Media And Culture In Togo

By SG Editor·

As digital platforms continue to reshape Africa’s music industry, a new generation of professionals is working behind the scenes to help artists structure releases, distribute music and build sustainable digital careers. Togolese music professional Nodjigno Pierre Yao NIHTAEL is developing his path at the intersection of digital music distribution, cultural entrepreneurship, media and events.

More than 50 artists distributed

Working primarily through Façonné Music, NIHTAEL has contributed to the digital distribution of music by more than 50 Togolese artists. His experience includes projects involving Togo Joachin Migos, SCENARIO and IROK, alongside numerous emerging talents. His work focuses on preparing releases for digital distribution and supporting artists as they develop a more structured presence across online music platforms.

Façonné Music at the centre of his professional activities

Façonné Music is the main structure through which NIHTAEL develops his activities in the music industry. His work reflects a broader ambition to help Togolese artists approach digital distribution professionally, with greater attention to release preparation, artist identity, digital presence and long-term development.

Collaboration and industry relationships

NIHTAEL has also collaborated with BADA Investment, led by King Sena Bada III. Through such collaborations, he continues to build relationships across the creative sector with artists, producers, media professionals and cultural entrepreneurs.

Media and cultural event experience

Beyond music distribution, NIHTAEL has worked with his team on media coverage of festivals and cultural events. Their activities have included events connected with celebrations of Togo’s Independence, assignments in northern Togo, and event coverage in Benin. This field experience complements his digital work and has helped him develop a wider understanding of the West African cultural ecosystem.

A broader ambition for Togolese music

After contributing to the distribution of more than 50 artists, NIHTAEL aims to continue working with both emerging and established talent. His objective is to contribute to a more professional music ecosystem in which Togolese and African artists can better use digital distribution, media and professional networks to reach wider audiences.
