EBIS 2026: Africa’s Digital Economy Moves Into Action

By SG Editor·

The 2nd edition of the E-Business International Summit will bring together in Dakar the actors transforming e-commerce, logistics and digital solutions into engines of Africa’s single

market.

Dakar, Senegal. In 2026, African digital commerce is entering a decisive phase: execution. Consumers are buying more online, SMEs are looking for markets beyond their borders, platforms are becoming more structured, while payments, data, artificial intelligence and logistics are becoming the new infrastructure of intra-African trade.

It is in response to this pivotal moment that the E-Business International Summit returns for its 2nd edition, on 26 and 27 November 2026 at CICES in Dakar. EBIS 2026 aims to be more than a summit: a business, networking and solutions platform where institutions, companies, marketplaces, logistics operators, fintechs, startups, investors and media work together to make African e-commerce more fluid, more connected and more competitive.

“Taking part in EBIS 2026 means choosing to be at the table where Africa’s digital future is being built.”

Why this initiative now?

The development of the African single market will not be decided by texts alone. It is being shaped by payments that can cross borders, parcels that can arrive on time, data that can strengthen trust, and digital tools that can help SMEs grow. With AfCFTA, Africa has a historic framework to bring its markets closer together. EBIS 2026 positions itself as the operational platform where this ambition becomes dialogue, partnerships, demonstrations and concrete opportunities.

E-commerce: moving from promise to scale

African e-commerce is no longer just a sales channel. It is becoming a complete chain that connects local production, platforms, customer experience, payment, delivery and after-sales service. For SMEs, local brands and startups, the challenge is clear: to sell beyond the national market without losing visibility, trust or profitability.

Logistics: the decisive link in digital growth

Last-mile delivery, urban warehousing, parcel traceability, cross-border corridors and coordination with customs actors are now among the priorities of digital commerce. EBIS 2026 will place logistics at the centre of the conversation, because no digital market can grow sustainably if goods do not move reliably, quickly and affordably.

Digital solutions & AI: automating, forecasting, securing

Artificial intelligence, stock management tools, chatbots, data, cybersecurity, payment systems and interoperability platforms are opening a new stage. These technologies make it possible to anticipate demand, improve customer relationships, reduce errors and give African businesses the tools to better manage their growth.

Three pillars, one objective
