While it currently makes up less than 1% of the global market, excelsa could help fill the gap left by climate-driven declines in coffee harvests, especially in major producers like Brazil. For now, this rare coffee offers South Sudanese farmers hope for a more sustainable future in the face of global agricultural challenges.
