Alma Asinobi, a Nigerian travel content creator, attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest journey across all seven continents. Her journey, dubbed #AlmaChasingContinents, began on March 15, 2025, and included stops in Antarctica, South America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Despite meticulous planning, she faced visa delays, flight cancellations, and challenges associated with her Nigerian passport. These setbacks extended her journey to 71 hours and 35 minutes, falling short of the current record of 64 hours set by Johnny Cruz Buckingham in February 2025. Her attempt highlighted the barriers faced by travelers from countries with less powerful passports.
