Louis Vuitton Celebrates The Opening Of Its New Store In Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

By SG Editor·

Cape Town – Louis Vuitton announces the opening of its new Cape

Town store, located in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

The store serves as the ultimate experiential destination, where clients are introduced to a curated selection of Men’s and Women’s collections spanning across leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and fragrances. The in-store experience is completed with the exquisite Winter Garden, offering a stunning view of the Victoria Basin and providing a serene setting for private appointments and special occasions.

An intricately carved wooden façade – a gentle nod to the House’s emblematic Epi leather – welcomes guests as they begin their journey inside the Louis Vuitton universe. Upon entering the store, they are greeted by iconic Women’s leather goods presented against a handcrafted Japanese wallpaper, where a hypnotic V-shaped design creates a captivating backdrop. Seated in the rifted oak chairs, clients are invited to discover Women’s accessories and Les Parfums Louis Vuitton. From this vantage point, two framed openings on opposite ends serve as gateways, leading guests to delve deeper and explore two distinct realms of the House.

To the left, like planets orbiting the sun, macramé wall panels of intertwining Monogram flowers frame the women’s universe with ready-to-wear, additional leather goods, smaller leather accessories, and shoes encircling the room’s focal yellow rug.

To the right and beyond Les Parfums Louis Vuitton, iconic Travel companions sit alongside leather goods equipped for daily activities, weekend getaways, or longer adventures.

Venturing through archways and deeper into the Men’s universe, ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories come to life within a sumptuous and cosy atmosphere of richly toned French oak and custom leather furnishings.

The journey unfolds into the Winter Garden, an oasis of tranquility, lush greenery and soft natural light, where clients are provided with an entirely unique private shopping experience. Under a bamboo sky, luscious plants grace the tiles and artwork, while floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the harbour, creating a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior.

Archival trunks from the House and key pieces from Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection sit alongside furniture by South Africa’s Weylandts, and art by Namibian artist Nicky Marais, establishing Louis Vuitton Cape Town as an immersive destination where heritage, creativity, and craftsmanship converge.
