Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Named Cape Town’s Best Tourist Attraction In 2026 For The Fifth Time In A Row

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) has been named Cape Town’s Best Tourist Attraction in the 2026 Kfm Best of the Cape Awards. This is the fifth year in a row that it secured this win.

The award, determined through public nominations and voting, recognises the destinations, businesses and experiences that have captured the hearts of Cape Town residents.

For TMACC, the recognition is particularly meaningful because it comes directly from the public.

“We are incredibly honoured to again be recognised as Cape Town’s Best Tourist Attraction,” says Wahida Parker, Managing Director of TMACC.

“This award is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices of the people who know and love this city. Table Mountain is more than a tourism attraction; it’s an important part of Cape Town’s identity and a place where locals and visitors come together to experience one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders.”

Since welcoming its first passengers in 1929, the Cableway has become one of South Africa’s most iconic tourism attractions, welcoming millions of visitors from around the world while contributing to Cape Town’s tourism economy.

“We would like to thank everyone who nominated and voted for us. We also want to pay tribute to the amazing destinations that were also nominated. Today’s recognition belongs to our dedicated team and to every person who continues to choose Table Mountain as part of their Cape Town story,” says Parker.
