Morocco is enhancing its tourism appeal with the expansion of its high-speed rail network. The new Kenitra–Marrakech line, announced by King Mohammed VI on April 24, 2025, will reduce travel times significantly: Tangier to Marrakech in 2 hours 40 minutes, Tangier to Casablanca in 1 hour 40 minutes, and Rabat to Casablanca’s airport in just 35 minutes. This 430 km line, part of a broader \$5.7 billion project, aims to boost sustainable tourism and improve connectivity between major cities. The initiative is expected to meet increasing demand by 2030 and enhance Morocco’s position as a leading travel destination.
