Abuja is preparing for a breathtaking transformation as the “City Walk” master plan unveils a futuristic 250-hectare mixed-use district along Airport Road. Designed by Benoy, this ambitious project features a 450-meter skyscraper destined to become Africa’s tallest tower, alongside a massive 13,000-seat indoor arena—Nigeria’s largest. Central to the design is a “Sponge District” approach, using lush green corridors and a Ravine ecological spine to manage stormwater, enhance biodiversity, and connect neighborhoods. A light mobility network ensures seamless movement, while an Art District and event piazza promise vibrant cultural life. Phase One will deliver 245,000 square meters of residential, retail, office, hospitality, educational, and healthcare spaces, marking Abuja’s next era of urban innovation and iconic architecture. With its full unveiling scheduled for May 2026, City Walk signals a bold new chapter for the “center of unity.”
