Dangote Refinery Posts $4.73 Billion Profit

By CNBC Africa·Edited by Editor TO·

Nigeria’s Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals reported a net profit of $4.73 billion for the first nine months of 2026, reversing a $117.2 million loss recorded during the same period last year. The unaudited results showed that revenue more than doubled to $22.48 billion from $9.19 billion. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) climbed to $5.52 billion, compared with $627.6 million a year earlier. The company attributed the stronger performance to increased crude processing, improved operational reliability, and higher refining margins. Its operating cash flow also rose to $3.68 billion from $364.7 million, while its financial position improved from $1.73 billion in net debt to $650.8 million in net cash.
