Aliko Dangote is expanding his industrial footprint by pushing the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals into the global chemicals market. Through a new partnership with Honeywell International Inc., the refinery will produce 400,000 metric tons of linear alkylbenzene annually—a key ingredient in cleaning products—targeting a market projected to hit $11.5 billion by 2030. The move aims to reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imports while boosting Dangote’s long-term revenue ambitions. Alongside this, the facility will produce an additional 750,000 metric tons of propylene per year, reflecting a broader strategy to integrate refining with petrochemicals and position Nigeria as a major player in global industrial supply chains.
