Three key subsidiaries of Nigeria’s Dangote Group have strengthened their gas supply agreements with national energy giant NNPC. The deals, signed with NNPC’s gas marketing and infrastructure companies, will fuel the industrial expansion of Dangote’s massive petroleum refinery, fertilizer plant, and cement operations. This strategic move aligns with Nigeria’s newly launched Gas Master Plan, which aims to transform the nation’s vast reserves into reliable economic drivers. The plan targets boosting national gas output to 12 billion cubic feet per day by 2030 and attracting over $60 billion in investment. By securing this critical feedstock, Dangote is positioning its flagship projects to leverage cleaner energy and support the government’s shift from policy to execution, ensuring fuel for its growth while contributing to broader industrial development.
