Ethiopian Airlines is soaring into 2026 with strong momentum after posting a 14% jump in half-year revenue, reaching $4.4 billion in the first six months of its financial year. This impressive growth is fueled by a clear expansion strategy, including launching new destinations, increasing flight frequencies, and adding seven new aircraft to its rapidly expanding fleet of about 150 planes. The airline’s ambitious vision extends far beyond current operations, as it solidifies its future with major investments. It recently placed an order for nine Boeing 787 Dreamliners to meet rising demand for long-haul travel and has broken ground on a monumental $12.5 billion airport project, slated to become the continent’s largest upon completion.
