Ethiopian Airlines reported a 20% increase in annual revenue to $9.1 billion for the 2025/26 fiscal year, despite flight disruptions tied to Middle East conflict and an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Passenger traffic rose 10% to 20.7 million travelers during the period, while cargo volumes increased 16% to 897,000 metric tons. The carrier, Africa’s largest, operates more than 150 aircraft. During the year under review, it added nine aircraft to its fleet and upgraded facilities at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. The airline also announced plans in April to purchase six additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for long-haul routes and is expected to decide soon on an order for 25 smaller aircraft to strengthen its domestic and regional network.
