Kenya is opening its doors wider, scrapping visa requirements for all African and most Caribbean nations in a bold move to boost tourism and continental ties. Consequently, travelers from these countries will no longer need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or pay visa fees, making border entry seamless, except for citizens of Somalia and Libya over security concerns. African visitors can now stay up to two months, while East Africans enjoy six months under existing regional mobility agreements. The government is also introducing faster ETA approvals and enhanced pre-screening systems. It earlier launched a digital nomad visa to attract remote workers to Kenya. President Ruto envisions a more connected, traveler-friendly Kenya, joining other African nations in embracing visa-free access and open skies policies to energize cross-border travel and economic growth.
