It features a stunning cover of Sweet & Innocent’s 1972 Memphis soul gem Express Your Love and includes tracks from the eight-piece Afrobeat-jazz outfit’s 2025 album Tuff Times Never Last. Since forming in 2014, Kokoroko has made a tradition of spotlighting underappreciated artists—from Steve Monite to William Onyeabor—introducing younger audiences to forgotten classics while honoring their legacy.
