Nigeria has officially signed on to host the 2027 Intra-African Trade Fair, bringing one of the continent’s most significant economic events to Lagos. The agreement, signed with Afreximbank, the African Union Commission, and the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, signals a major vote of confidence in Nigeria’s commercial capital. Held every two years, the trade fair connects businesses, investors, and policymakers to promote cross-border commerce and partnerships across Africa. The previous edition in Algiers generated a staggering $48.3 billion in trade and investment deals, attracting over 112,000 visitors from 132 countries. Organizers expect the Lagos edition to build on that momentum, further strengthening trade, investment, and economic integration across the continent.
