The Nigerian National Petroleum Company posted a strong $4.2 billion profit for 2025, powered by crude and condensate production averaging 1.62 million barrels daily. The development underscores renewed momentum in Nigeria’s oil sector. Annual revenue reached roughly $44.8 billion, with nearly $11 billion paid to government bodies and partners, reflecting the company’s central role in national finances. Although December production dipped slightly due to maintenance and outages, natural gas supply remained resilient at 6.91 billion cubic feet daily. Refinery fuel availability improved noticeably, with petrol availability hitting 65 percent at refining stations. Meanwhile, major pipeline and gas projects advanced steadily. Together, the results point to operational recovery in Africa’s largest oil-producing nation.
