Transcorp Group is putting serious money behind Africa’s next generation of business builders. Through its growing partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, the Nigerian conglomerate has now empowered 1,250 entrepreneurs with over $2 million in direct investment. This includes 625 founders in the 2026 cohort alone, with each participant receiving $5,000 in seed capital. What makes the initiative particularly meaningful is its focus on Niger Delta communities surrounding Transcorp’s power operations, with over 430 beneficiaries drawn from that region alone. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable economic transformation, providing opportunities for young Africans to create jobs and drive local development. As TEF founder Tony Elumelu emphasizes, empowering entrepreneurs is key to Africa’s future, and Transcorp’s backing ensures these dreams become tangible realities.
