Morocco set to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with group draws revealed at the official ceremony.

Zimbabwean war veterans, once staunch supporters of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, have demanded his resignation, accusing him of nepotism, corruption, and economic mismanagement. Speaking at a press conference, Blessed Runesu Geza, a veteran and Zanu-PF central committee member, criticized Mnangagwa for failing to deliver on promises made after his 2017 rise to power. Geza highlighted worsening corruption and hardships, stating, “Enough is enough.” However, Zanu-PF spokesperson Farai Marapira dismissed the demands as “rogue rantings.” The call for Mnangagwa’s resignation underscores divisions within the ruling party, with some factions opposing his bid for a third term in 2028. Analysts believe the veterans’ frustrations reflect broader dissatisfaction but note that the political future remains uncertain.
