Five African Nature Destinations Beyond Traditional Safari

Africa has a wealth of natural environments, including forests, deserts, wetlands, and extraordinary geological landscapes. In Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, visitors can trek through ancient rainforest to encounter roughly half the world’s mountain gorilla population, alongside birdwatching and waterfall hikes.
