Luxury is set to meet wilderness in Kenya as The Ritz-Carlton prepares to launch its first safari camp in the country’s iconic Masai Mara Game Reserve this August. Nestled along the Sand River, the camp promises front-row views of the Great Migration and Big Five sightings, all delivered with Ritz-Carlton’s signature flair. The camp will comprise 21 tree-top tented suites with sweeping savannah views. It will offer private game drives, hot-air balloon rides, and sunset rituals, such as “The Call of Dusk.” Beyond these, the Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara Safari Camp will be equipped with a photography studio, a gym, and a pool, among others. The camp will also honor East African heritage through traditional Maasai hospitality. It is designed to be sustainable, relying on rainwater harvesting for water, local materials for construction, and solar energy for power.
