Volkswagen, the German automotive company operating out of Wolfsburg, is set to launch e-tractors in Nigeria to help modernize the country’s agricultural sector and boost productivity. Announced by Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, following talks with Germany’s Katja Keul at the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the initiative reinforces stronger economic ties between Nigeria and Germany. The plan, backed by the German government, promises to reduce reliance on manual labor and diesel fuel, improving farm efficiency and sustainability.
