Kampala Cleans Up its Hospitality Space

The Ugandan Tourism Board (UTB) has partnered up with the Ugandan police to start closing down unlicensed accommodation facilities. Accommodation facilities are categorized as lodges, hotels, motels, guesthouses, villas, tented camps, cottages, inns, serviced apartments, hostels and farmhouses. According to UTB, the clamping down on accommodation facilities without operating licenses is aimed at upholding the highest standards to ensure that guests experience the best of Uganda’s hospitality.
