Cape Town has been crowned the world’s most affordable luxury destination, offering travelers five-star indulgence without the extravagant price tag. According to a new Sail Croatia survey, visitors can enjoy lavish hotel stays for just $199 a night—three times cheaper than many global hotspots—alongside fine dining, spa treatments, and scenic tours that remain surprisingly budget-friendly. Bermuda’s Hamilton & Pink Sand Beaches and Oman’s Muscat follow in second and third place, respectively, while London and Mexico’s Riviera Maya round out the top five. The study highlights that luxury doesn’t have to mean overspending, with destinations like Cape Town proving that world-class comfort, cuisine, and culture can all be enjoyed on a modest budget.
