Meanwhile, two-thirds of respondents think racial classifications cause more harm than good. This shift comes amid global debates over affirmative action and criticism from figures such as Elon Musk. Yet the findings also reveal broad agreement that the workforce should reflect the country’s demographics. Currently, South Africa has deep inequalities, with unemployment for Black South Africans far outpacing that of Whites decades after apartheid.
