Africa Soft Power Summit 2026 Set For Nairobi, Uniting Leaders Across Business, Technology And Culture

Africa Soft Power Summit 2026, focusing on innovation, technology, and culture in Nairobi.

The Africa Soft Power Summit, one of the continent’s leading cross-sector convenings, will return to Nairobi, Kenya from 20-23 May 2026, bringing together a global network of policymakers, investors, founders, creatives, and institutional leaders shaping Africa’s economic and cultural trajectory.

Now in its seventh year, the Summit has evolved into a high-impact platform where capital, creativity, and technology intersect, offering a rare space for dialogue across industries that are increasingly interconnected in shaping Africa’s global influence.

A platform for Africa’s next phase of growth

As global economic and geopolitical systems continue to shift, the 2026 Summit will explore how Africa can better align its financial systems, digital infrastructure, creative industries, and policy frameworks to drive sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

The programme is designed as a live editorial platform; one generating insights, partnerships, and market-shaping conversations across finance and capital markets, AI and data governance, creative industries, trade and tourism, and women’s leadership as a driver of institutional performance.

Across its programme, the Summit moves from high-level dialogue to cultural and experiential engagement: opening with a welcome reception, followed by the Remarkable African Women’s Leadership (RAW) Conference, which examines women’s leadership as economic and institutional infrastructure; and the Creative & Innovative Industries Conference, which brings together leaders across technology, media, finance, and policy to explore how innovation translates into commercial and global value. The programme culminates in the Africa Soft Power Gala & Awards, alongside curated experiences across Nairobi that showcase the city’s role as a regional hub for innovation and culture.

This integrated approach reflects a growing reality: Africa’s economic future will be shaped not by isolated sectors, but by how effectively capital, policy, technology, and culture reinforce one another.

A global network, rooted in African perspectives

The Summit consistently attracts senior decision-makers, with strong representation from Africa and the global diaspora, including CEOs, policymakers, investors, and cultural leaders.

Past editions have featured leaders from institutions such as Afreximbank, Safaricom, Netflix, Meta, Amazon, the International Finance Corporation, NBA Africa, National Football League, and the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat – alongside globally recognised voices from media, sports, and the creative industries.

At a time when traditional centres of global influence are recalibrating, Africa is increasingly positioned to shape new economic and cultural narratives. The Africa Soft Power Summit provides a structured environment where these shifts are examined, and acted on, through deal-making conversations, policy-relevant dialogue, cross-sector collaboration, and narrative-setting that influences how Africa is positioned globally.
