Côte d’Ivoire Tower Set to Become Africa’s Tallest

Côte d’Ivoire is nearing completion of Tower F, a 76-story supertall skyscraper in Abidjan’s Administrative City that will surpass Egypt’s Iconic Tower to become Africa’s tallest structure. The building’s main structure stands 333 meters tall, but a spire extends its total height to 421 meters. Designed by architect Pierre Fakhoury, the tower’s symmetrical form draws inspiration from traditional African masks, blending cultural symbolism with modern engineering. The building will consolidate government offices, conference facilities, restaurants, auditoriums, and parking within a single complex. The tower’s summit will have a glass-enclosed public observation deck, accessible via a panoramic elevator, offering 360-degree views over the city and the Ebrié lagoon. Tower F also incorporates sustainability features, including a double-layered facade with 16,000 glass panels that reduce heat absorption, helping it achieve EDGE green-building certification.
