Scheduled to launch in 2026, this service will initially provide data for select apps and text messaging and directly connect compatible smartphones in areas without traditional mobile coverage. The collaboration also includes support for Starlink’s next-generation satellite broadband system, promising dramatically improved data speeds. This move mirrors a global trend, following Ukraine’s recent adoption of the same technology to maintain communications during wartime disruptions.
