In a thrilling display of speed and strategy, South African favorite Ryan Gibbons sprinted to victory to claim the men’s elite title. The victory marked a special moment for the seasoned rider, who powered past rivals in the final meters to secure his first win in the race. In the women’s competition, Lisa Bone produced a commanding performance, sprinting ahead of a tightly packed lead group to claim victory in 2:06:26. The event, the world’s largest timed cycle race, transformed the scenic Cape Peninsula into a 109-kilometer playground for thousands of participants.
