Producer JAZZWRLD and vocalist Thukuthela emerged as two of the most influential figures in Southern Africa’s music industry during 2025, helping propel Afro-house and 3-Step music to new heights. Their collaborations produced multiple chart-topping hits, including “Isaka (6 am),” “Vuka,” “Bengicela,” and “Uzizwa Kanjan,” making them central figures in the region’s evolving dance music scene. Despite their success, the pair faced major setbacks when armed robbers raided JAZZWRLD’s home, stealing equipment, jewelry, and unreleased music. After the incident, they rebuilt their studio and continued producing music with support from management and collaborators. Looking ahead, the artists remain cautious about artificial intelligence’s growing role in music, arguing that while technology can improve efficiency, creativity and emotional connection still depend on a distinctly human touch.
