Adjaye Associates has unveiled a striking new studio in Accra, blending design innovation with environmental consciousness. The four-story headquarters, located in Cantonments, features a bold rammed-earth facade and low-carbon concrete, signaling a shift toward sustainable architecture rooted in local materials. Elevated by a dramatic cantilever, the building creates over 1,300 square meters of open, column-free interior while integrating offices, galleries, and communal areas. Inside, filtered natural light and textured surfaces foster a collaborative, tactile environment. Designed by David Adjaye, the studio doubles as a cultural hub, reflecting a broader vision of architecture as both a functional workspace and a platform for creative exchange in West Africa.
