The Jamaica Book Festival is turning the page on a new chapter of Afro-Caribbean collaboration, aiming to strengthen literary ties between Africa and the Caribbean. The recent exchange in Kingston brought together writers, publishers, and cultural leaders for readings and workshops rooted in shared histories of ancestry and colonial experience. While the two regions often share themes, they rarely share structured platforms for dialogue. By creating this space, the festival hopes to spark sustained collaboration. Among the featured voices are Kenyan writer Troy Onyango and Ghanaian-German literary advocate Alexandra Antwi-Boasiako.
