Study Aims to Map the Status of AI Ethical Policies in Africa

As the world stands on the brink of a technological revolution driven by AI, the ethical implications of this transformative force have never been more pressing. Africa is emerging as a pivotal player in shaping the ethical contours of AI adoption and governance. With great anticipation and optimism, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in collaboration with AfriLabs, presents this initiative aimed at impacting the continent over the next decade through four strategic pillars, one of which is Research, Evidence, and Learning. This pillar focuses on innovative ways to move the continent forward through collaboration, research, and dissemination of learning across Africa’s innovation ecosystem.
