Adani Group Denies Allegations of Planned Retaliation Against Kenyan Protesters

India’s Adani Group has denied issuing any statement regarding actions against Kenyan protesters. The company labeled reports suggesting it planned to take action against protesters as false and attributed them to “vested interests with malicious intent.” In its statement, the conglomerate emphasized that it had not issued any press release related to Kenya. It then urged the public to disregard such misinformation. Furthermore, the group threatened legal action against those responsible for spreading false reports. This clarification follows a fabricated news release that claimed the group was “disturbed” by protests in Kenya over its projects. The protests, led by aviation workers, opposed a deal allowing Adani to lease Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for 30 years.
