Without infrastructure, no nation can drive sustainable economic growth. Recognizing this, Africa is powering ahead with ambitious infrastructure investments across the energy, transportation, and digital infrastructure sectors. According to the latest rankings from the Africa Infrastructure Development Index (AIDI) 2024, Seychelles, Egypt, and Libya were at the forefront of infrastructure development in 2024. Likewise, the Democratic Republic of Congo recently secured a $1 billion pledge from the World Bank for the construction of the world’s largest hydropower project.
