Nigerian Music Star Simi Opens Up About Charting Her Path to Stardom, and Why She Still Engineers Her Own Music        

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way” is an adage that describes the meteoric rise of Nigerian music star, Simi. Despite years of acclaim, she wasn’t able to land a record label so she decided to teach herself how to record, mix and master her own music. Her 2008 debut gospel album laid the foundation for her career and future success. Six years later, after her “RESTLESS” release and signing with a record label, Simi transitioned into mainstream music with the release of her chart-topping hit song, “Tiff” – which was nominated for an award at The Headies, one of Nigeria’s preeminent music awards.
