CAF Awards Nigeria 3-0 Libya after Airport Incident.

Germany invested $8.5 million to improve energy efficiency and promote renewable energy in mosques across Morocco, aiming to boost employment and sustainable practices. The project, titled “Promoting Employment through Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Mosques,” ran from 2015 to 2021. It was implemented by Germany’s Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). According to reports, a significant portion of the budget supported expert advisory and planning, with funds also allocated for LED lighting, solar water heaters, and photovoltaic panels. The initiative included training for local companies, workers, and mosque leaders to foster energy-efficient practices. The project also saw the development of models for installing and maintaining the energy systems. With about 52,000 mosques across Morocco, the project supports Morocco’s goal of generating 52% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
