Prosper Africa Coordinator British A. Robinson In Kenya To Speak At AmCham Business Summit And Lead U.S. Investor Delegation

Prosper Africa Coordinator British A. Robinson will be in Kenya from April 22-27, leading a U.S. investor delegation to the fourth annual American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Business Summit. While in Kenya, Coordinator Robinson will deliver remarks at the AmCham Business Summit along with the U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, and U.S. Trade and Development Agency Director Enoh Ebong.

“Prosper Africa is mobilizing large scale private capital from institutional investors like pension funds, family offices, high net worth individuals, foundation endowments, and venture capital (VC) and equity funds. We brought a distinguished group of such investors and VC firms to the AmCham Summit to explore and learn more about the region’s top opportunities,” said Coordinator Robinson. Since Prosper Africa launched in 2019, the U.S. government has helped close 285 private sector deals in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda valued at $6.6 billion. 169 of those deals have been closed in Kenya, valued at $2.2 billion.
